Exclusively teachable at Sea Explorer Reethi Faru , Raa Atoll, Maldives!

What is this Specialty about:
Sharks are of high importance to marine ecosystems, and the role in which they play in these ecosystems around the world is not lost on us here in Raa Atoll, Maldives. Sharks are usually at the top of the food chain in the ocean, and help regulate fish populations by feeding on them. A lot of the time Sharks feed on ill or diseased fish which can help “boost the immune system” of the marine life in that area. Their feeding restricts the fish populations from increasing quickly and taking over a certain area of marine life.

Sharks have a spectacular array of characteristics and adaptations that they have developed through millions of years of evolution. These adaptations have helped position Sharks to the top of the food chain, and it´s important to learn about these adaptations in order to understand how sharks have survived, and then thrived in their marine habitat.

Course includes 2 theory sessions and 2 open water dives!( PADI Specialty Certification, counts for Master Scuba Diver)
